Ballet On Wheels partners with various local schools and other community based organizations offering after school dance programs throughout the year. The Satellite Dance Program is a cost efficient program that brings dance to your community or school. At a minimum, classes are held once a week. The program offers flexible day or after school dance hours during the school year, Monday – Friday. Please call for dance classes customized to fit your specific dance needs.

The Teen Ambassador Program (TAP) is geared towards high school students ages 15 – 18. Through a variety of volunteer projects and special community projects, members will serve as Teen Ambassadors and will assist in raising awareness and interest in Ballet On Wheels via community and volunteer efforts. The TAP Program is also a certifying organization for the prestigious “Presidential Volunteer Service Award”, an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

An “egg-citing” community based dance event and free dance camp open to youth ages 3 – 14. Camp goers will explore various art dance forms through mini classes. At the end of the camp, participants experience an opportunity to see the Ballet On Wheels Youth Dance Company in live performance. This unique dance camp is free. (filled Easter Baskets required) Our community partner organizations the Hope House & Target House of Memphis are basket recipients. These youth facilities care for kids with terminally ill diseases including Aids and Cancer.
For students ages 10 and up, the “Dream To Dance” Scholarship Auditions are held annually in the Spring and open to students throughout the City. The scholarship audition is a highly competitive dance process that provides talented dance students the opportunity to participate in a full dance year of free dance classes with Ballet On Wheels Dance School. Strict attendance, performance and community service requirements must be successfully fulfilled throughout the year. Full and partial scholarships available.

At Ballet On Wheels Dance School, we enjoy meeting and connecting with other students throughout the year. “Bring a Friend to Dance Class” Week allows each student to share the fun of dance with a friend. Special giveaways and prizes are awarded to all students who participate in this unique dance week!
“Dance In His Name” is a unique, national praise dance showcase and competition honoring the spirit of dance worship. Held each Spring in Memphis, TN this praise dance showcase is a great way to explore and experience praise dancing at its best!

In partnership with the Memphis Public Library, Ballet On Wheels Dance School offers quarterly one – hour community dance classes for younger students during the months of October through April.
