Hello there! It’s me again! There are some exciting things going on at Ballet on Wheels this spring! However, I’m here to talk about one very important event: our Easter Basket Drive and Free Dance Camp! Yes, you read that right FREE dance camp! This event is on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 11:30-1:00! We will be offering free dance classes in exchange for a filled Easter basket!
Why a filled Easter basket? Let me tell you!
We give the Easter baskets to terminally ill children who are living at the Target House and the Hope House! They want to have fun things and delicious candy on Easter, too!
The Target House of Memphis is affiliated with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It houses children who have been “on campus” for more than three months. It provides no cost, long term living for the children and their families!
Hope House of Memphis is a facility that provides early childhood education and social services to children who are affected or infected by HIV. They are committed to helping these children make their lives easier! They also work to inform and educate the community about HIV/AIDS to help prevent the spread and eliminate the stigma associated with the disease!
Let’s help these places out and give these children a fun Easter! Bring your filled Easter basket down to 1015 S. Cooper and have your child stay for a free afternoon of dance! It will be a fun and rewarding day for all involved! Did I mention that camp goers will get to watch a mini performance given by the performance company of Ballet on Wheels?
Hope to see everybody there! It’s going to be awesome!
Thanks for reading!
