Our Amazing Instructors

Ballet On Wheels has an amazing variety of Dance Instructors to meet the needs of our students and overall dance program. All of our Instructors also have significant public performance and classroom experience teaching students in all levels of dance.  Most instructors have a Bachelor’s Degree to show their strong dedication in the field of the arts.

The BOW Staff is committed to working with all of our families providing high level, accurate and friendly service, hands down. We have a passion for the arts with an emphasis on connecting with each of you to meet your needs while your dancer diligently hones in on their dance craft.

  • Alicia Cook

    Alicia Cook is from Detroit, Michigan. She was trained in grade school at the Turning Pointe School of Dance in St. Clair Shores, MI. She was a member of the Dance Workshop, which focused on modern dance technique, at the well known Lewis Cass Technical High in Detroit. She is trained in ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop. Alicia danced 3 seasons as an Automotion/Pistons dancer for the NBA Detroit Pistons Basketball Team. Alicia is a graduate of BGSU. She taught dance at EBSD dance school in Swartz Creek, MI and Andrea Redman School of Dance in Shelby, MI. She began teaching and choreography with Ballet On Wheels in 2016.

  • Stephanie Hill

    Stephanie Hill began performing at the age of 3 as a competitive ice skater. By age 7, she had begun her professional training through the rigorous Royal Academy of Dance curriculum under the tutelage of Karen J. Zissoff, director of Dance Works, Inc. While passing internationally recognized RAD annual examinations, Stephanie maintained scholarships with her dance school to further her dance training. She attended multiple master classes and conferences, including the TAD Festival, all while participating in her studio’s Teacher Training Program.
    Stephanie has been teaching with Ballet On Wheels Dance School & Company (BOW) for 8 years. As Senior Instructor and School Operations Manager, Stephanie travels across the city sharing her passion with dance with people throughout the Memphis Community by teaching dance. Stephanie continues to build the outreach program through innovative collaborative efforts to continue to broaden the reach of BOW.

  • Kevin Jones

    Kevin Jones, a native of Rankin County, received his training from various studios. He has trained at Belhaven College, Ballet Mississippi, Ballet Magnificat, Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Company of Fondren, Hatten Dance Arts Studio, and Jackson Irish Dancers. He has been active with the Belhaven College Dance Ensemble and Belhaven College Alumni & Faculty Dance Ensemble where he has performed several concerts. Mr. Jones was also Artistic Director of “Sacred Ground”, the Liturgical Dance Group at Galloway United Methodist Church. He was the Ballet Master for Dance Unlimited, Inc., in Byram, MS and Repeat Dance Performance Studio. He is a graduate of Belhaven College with a major in Psychology and minor in dance. He also has an MBA. His passion of dance is shown through his expressions and his love to share this gift with others. Kevin joined the Ballet On Wheels Staff in 2015.

  • Kaiah Amira Warr

    Kaiah Amira Warr, a native Memphian, is currently a sophomore psychology major at the University of Memphis. Kaiah began dance at the age of 5 years old under the great leadership of Tamara Parrish. At the age of 6, Parrish recommended Kaiah to dance with Artistic Director, Chauniece Conner Thompson with Ballet On Wheels. Kaiah remained a student of the dance school for 12 years. At BOW, she studied many genres including ballet, modern, improv, contemporary, character, hip hop and pointe. At the ripe age of 11, through hard work and dedication, Kaiah became a member of The Senior Company with Ballet On Wheels.

    As a Senior Dance Company Member, Kaiah landed many lead roles in most of the company dance productions. Kaiah has always had a passion for dance and the technical discipline needed for it. As an Instructor for Ballet On Wheels, Kaiah continues to learn and teach the knowledge she has been so fortunate to acquire in dance.
