Back by popular demand, Ballet On Wheels Dance School & Company is offering Boys Hip Hop Sessions during the second half of our 2016-2017 season!
For boys ages 5-10, the 10-week class includes footwork, building a foundation of basic hip-hop movements, across the floor exercises and short combinations to today’s popular music.
“Dance is a light to escape distractions, stress and is the communication to communicate all communications,” said Montrell Britton, Hip Hop Dance Instructor. “Dance changes lives one move at a time. It controls feelings, the atmosphere presence of space, time and energy.”
The class is also an introduction for boys with minimal dance experience and includes a warm-up concentrating on building stamina, body conditioning and rhythm isolations.
“This class is so important to the students because for some it is an outlet to gear the mind to multi task, isolate thoughts, and learn interdisciplinary as well as entrepreneurship skills,” said Britton.
Classes begin Wednesday, January 11, 2017 and will be held every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm until March 22, 2017. Tuition is $135 per semester session. We are centrally located in the Cooper Young district at 1015 S Cooper Street.
